Ice Breaker: If your creative process was a reality TV show, what would it be called and why?
"Revelation Road" is a journey of creative discovery and inspiration, following me and a diverse group of friends and creators as we explore different environments and cultures worldwide. From painting murals with local artists to composing music with traditional instruments, we showcase the magic of collaboration and diverse talents coming together.
It combines stunning cinematography, evocative music, and immersive sound design to create a cinematic journey. From sweeping landscapes to intimate close-ups, viewers experience the beauty and intricacies of the world through our eyes.
Why "Revelation Road"? My creative process comes a lot from Ephipanies, and so I feel like the title itself describes it very well: a road with its flat pavement and bumps, sometimes mixed with the synopsis that suggests collaboration with different cultures to make magic happen.
Inspiration: What's the most unusual source of inspiration you've ever had for a project or piece of work?
My sources of inspiration are always super random, but one time, I was working with some colleagues on a low-budget music video, and one of the artists had a very cool style, so just by looking at him, I started brainstorming so many ideas, I just had to come up to him and tell him that I like his style and that I would love to make photoshoots and concept videos whenever it was possible, For me this is something unusual because I am the shy type of person and this just came automatic with no shyness at all.
Sacred geometry and abstract art are also sources of inspiration; they work as a form of therapy for my eyes.
Challenges: How do you combat the dreaded 'creative block' and keep the ideas flowing?
I take time off in nature, exercise helps a lot, or I get social with my friends to catch up; other times I just submerge myself into music and YouTube videos that inspire me or help me learn new things. Recently, I have been watching HINDZ on YouTube, The #1 Chill Spot, and it is the best thing I have found in a while. It helps me keep moving forward, and if I am alone, I turn on the TV, put on YouTube, and blast him on the speakers, and I continue with my day when I'm working at home. It makes me feel like I have a best friend by my side.
I also find inspiration in other types of arts, like going to museums, admiring paintings and art installations, going to local music shows, concerts, and poems, and reading books are very useful. Self-care plays a significant role in my creative process; having a daily routine that makes you feel good and healthy is key.
Words of Wisdom: What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self at the start of your creative journey?
The value of patience. Meaningful progress requires time and perseverance. Be patient with yourself and your craft. Allow yourself the space to experiment, make mistakes, and learn from them, and most importantly, embrace your authenticity and stay TRUE to who you are; your uniqueness is your greatest asset as a Visual creator. Trust in your creativity and let it guide you as you navigate the ups and downs of your creative path, mini Pao!

Work-life balance tip of the week ✏️
Embrace the power of delegation
Recognize that you don't have to do everything yourself, and entrust tasks to others who are capable and willing to help. Delegating responsibilities allows you to focus on what truly matters and reduces stress.

Key Takeaway: Remember that your queerness is not a liability but a strength.
Navigating Imposter Syndrome: Embracing Your Unique Value as a Queer Entrepreneur
As queer entrepreneurs, we often face unique challenges on our journey to success. One of the most common obstacles we encounter is imposter syndrome – that persistent feeling of self-doubt and inadequacy despite evidence of our accomplishments. It's the voice in our heads that tells us we're not good enough, that we don't belong, or that we're somehow "faking it."
But here's the truth: you are more than capable, and your identity as a queer individual adds incredible value to your work. Your diverse perspective, lived experiences, and authenticity are assets and essential components of your success.
Embracing your unique identity and recognizing the value it brings to your business is key to overcoming imposter syndrome. Rather than viewing your queerness as a liability, celebrate it as a strength. Your ability to navigate and thrive in a world that may not always be accepting or inclusive demonstrates resilience, creativity, and innovation – qualities that are invaluable in entrepreneurship.
By acknowledging and honoring your authentic self, you not only silence the voice of imposter syndrome but also pave the way for greater confidence, creativity, and success in your entrepreneurial endeavors. Remember that your journey is valid, your contributions matter, and you deserve to be here.
Embrace your identity as a queer entrepreneur and harness it as a source of empowerment. Your unique perspective and experiences are what set you apart and make your business truly remarkable. Celebrate your authenticity, and watch as imposter syndrome loses its grip on you.
